G-g-g-g-giant bass

Featured Replies

Had an opportunity to get out yesterday and go check one of my "big fish" zones.  It doesnt put up a lot of fish, but when it does, look out.  It didnt disappoint.  This may be my last day out these season, and if so, what a way to end it.  Lots of footage to edit in the coming weeks when the boat goes away.
In the words of Dave Mercer... G-G-G-G-GIANT BASS!

Great fish!! I am green with envy!!

What'd it weigh? How long? Nice fish either way.

Dang that is one huge bass. Congrats on that big bruiser.

That looks to be over 9. Maybe even 10. Maybe it's the camera angle? Would be a state record here.

Looks like a fish eye lense, my Virb makes them look way bigger than they are (although that's obviously a huge smallie either way).

Great looking fish!

What a hog!!!!!! Congrats man!! I would LOVE to catch a smallie that big!! What lake are you fishing?

Dang! congrats on that catch! did you weigh it?

Considering it's bigger than the guy's torso and its head is as big as the guy's head, I'm estimating 80 pounds at least.

Might be an over the top estimation but hey if he caught it on a Rapala F13 in orange, then I guess anything is possible.

Hey, measure the length of the fish. Then measure the length of the catcher's torso. They're the same. It's an 80-pounder at least.

Lol. Let's call it a well chosen camera angle. That said, the fish was over 22 inches and somewhere in the 7.5 to 8 pound range. My biggest of the year for sure

As I wrote in another thread, you're a heckuva fisher and you have a good sense of humor too, so winner, winner, fish dinner!*

*As long as it's not a big bass, natch.

Judging from the photo, I'd say that monster weighs 49 lbs. 17oz.
