Thanks, Ive looked at Tatulas and most are sold out in the size i want. But i will keep on looking

I'm looking to get my first bc rod and reel soon, too. Am leaning toward Daiwa Tatula or Lew's Custom Speed Stick.

Where do you live?  Is there a good local tackle shop near you? If not, look at places like Bass Pro, Cabelas, Gander Mountain & Dick Sporting Goods. With just a little snooping you will find plenty of good quality rods for $150. Take a look at ST Croix, Irod, Dobyns, Abu Garcia, Lews and tons more. Check online sources like Tackle Warehouse, Monster Tackle.com and others.

Good casting rods at $150? That's a long list. Go to your local tackle shops and handle as many models as you can.  If you already have a reel, bring it with you and ask an employee if you can mount it to the rods you're looking at.

Whichever feels the best in your hands is the one for you.

Good luck shooping for a rod!

If had to guess I'd say you were close to the dirty woo

St Croix still has the Avid Neo or the Rage for 89$ +free shipping

For under 150 look at the duckett gost, no. *** is really inexpensive, dobyns, ardent, shimano makes a nice rod around 90$, st. Croix

All really good just find what you like
