In a lifelong search for a plastic worm that doesn't work, I've come up empty!

Put differently, every time I'm asked this same question I'm likely to offer a different answer  

 

That said, my current favorite worm is an Uptons 8" Straight-Tail Worm (So Cal Magic)

Gambler Burner Worm, t-rigged with a pegged bullet weight and a 6-0 EWG.  It's beefy, it swims, it smells, it catches.

If I could only have one : Zoom Trick Worm in Green Pumpkin color.

Zoom ol monster in watermelon red texas rigged. 

Zoom Mag II or Ol Monster

Zoom U tail followed by a mag II or Ole monster

7" Culprit or zoom worms have always proven reliable for me

Now a stupid question, why do you choose the worms you choose other than "they catch fish"? Im willing to bet that if I got bit on a green pumpkin Grande Bass Rattlesnake that I probably would have got bit on a green pumpkin _______ (insert any worm listed above). Im really curious. Im guessing some people use what they do because they can buy local. I like the garlic used with Grande Bass and how the Kicker Fish is big and floats. What is your reason?  I might have to try something else......

I use the zoom untalenworm because I am generally only fishing for small bass, and they love that it when you reel it on the top over their heads. It looks like a snake swimming away, and the top water strikes I get are ferocious. I have caught bass up to 4 pounds on that worm, and it is also cheap as dirt. You get 20 for anything from $2-$4 depending on your store!! 

 

Zoom is a local company to me though, and I have to say I'm a tiny bit biased to them. Any tackle store I walk into has an entire 15'x10 wall devoted to zoom, and most of the time they're on sale.

6" Robo Worm Straight Tail - Aaron's Magic. And for more subtle presentation, I go with the 4.5" model. I've caught more fish on that worm than anything else I throw.

7 Inch black power worm..

Several. but, one that has stood out for me is the Mr. Twister 6" "grub". It's not a grub but a worm, dirt cheap, and as a swimming worm, just a killer. It's fairly small and slim but catches big fish too.
