Best Swim Jig Trailer?

This seems to be the buzz lately.

Yep... The Cabela's near me had them for $2.49 a pack.  I loaded up.  Eco pro has put out some good stuff recently.  I just received their new hollow body frog from TW earlier this week... has trokar hooks so I'm pumped to see what the hook up ratio will be like.  Plus they are 3/4 oz, so should be able to sling em!

Bass Pro Shops Speed Shad 3.8" when they're on sale (I have a bunch saved). Zoom Fat Alberts if I want to be cheap, but they tend to work good. I think they're underrated. I just bought some Zoom 4" tab tail grubs. They claim the "tabbed tail" imitates a crippled bait fish.

honestly speed shads are my number 3 after the keitech's and the eco pros. They're dirt cheap, durable, and catch fish. They're nice when the pickerel get viscous and you start going through a lot.

If you go on Cabelas.com all of the swing shads are on backorder.Ill have to swing up the the one out here to see if they have any left.

They are getting popular fast.  And just about every color of the eco toad is on back order until June on tacklewarehouse. Only honey locust is available.

I think it's best to stick to 3 trailers for swim jigs. A chunk, a craw/menace (something that flaps), and a small swimbait:

For cold water / pre-spawn I use any sort of chunk as a trailer... choose your favorite brand. I want minimal action at this time.

For the spawn, upgrade to something with more action. For me, either a 5" grub or a Rage Menace. Once the bluegill spawn, I'll switch over to a swimbait style trailer, such as a RI Skinny Dipper.. the Eco Pro will work too, choose whatever brand you want.

In the heat of summer, I usually go back to the rage menace and reel it back slowly near the bottom, so it looks like a crawfish. I also throw it into heavy cover, and I'll use a rage menace for that as well.

I really like Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper, but I have a ton of trailers I will use from all different companies and all different styles, there is just no one best trailer...

My favorite are the keitech fat impact 3.8 or 4.3's.

Pretty much the only ones i use!

That green and orange Keitech is the best sunfish imitating trailer hands down.

When an angler tells me his favorite bait,

he's merely told me what bait he fishes the most.
