What are suggestions for a shimano reel that is heavy duty and holds not a ton of line but alot and i need the handle to be decent not the tranx version though and has to be on tackle warehouse for frogging?

I used to have a great South Bend frogging reel....but then it croaked!

The Curado and Citica I are the same price on TW right now.  Get the CuradoHG, 7.2:1 gear ratio.  It's strong, holds the right amount of line, has a smooth drag, palms well, and casts great.

I know u specifically said shimano but I use a daiwa tatula type r in 8.1.1 with 50 pound braid.

Any in the line from the Citica up.

If you want to keep cost low Curado is the way to go if you want something fancy then go with an Exsence DC.
