Is Do-It the only company that produces jig molds? I do not like the Poison Tail or Trokar swim jig mold.

My only complaint with the Poison Tail mold is I use 3/8 and 1/2 exclusively and do not want to buy two molds to pour two jigs. I would like to find a poison tail mold that had both sizes in one.

If you are looking exclusively for the Poison Tail mold, you will have to invest in two molds, or buy the other size jig from someone else.

  Do-It is by far the biggest mold company to date, and the only one that sells the Poison Tail mold. Hilts is another mold company but they don't have as big as a selection, and they don't have the Poison Tail mold.

I'm looking for a decent swim jig mold that will have a 3/8 and 1/2oz cavity together.

Get this one http://www.barlowstackle.com/Do-It-Grass-Weedless-Jig-Molds-P262.aspx  .   I use the Trokar swim jig mold to make more of California style swim jig with a thicker 55 strand skirt and heavier hook. The Poison Tail is a hybrid jig, it uses a 28 to 30 degree hook so it tracks true when swimming it but the head is more of a rocker style so it works great dragging it on the bottom, it is the most versatile jig design I've used. The casting or grass jig is what I call a pure swim jig, it uses a 30 degree hook as well but even in the larger sizes it has a low profile allowing it to come through grass effortlessly. This also has the 2 sizes you want on 1 mold so it should work for you.

I actually use the brush jig mold to make swim jigs. Kind of similar to the Mann's Stone Jig.

Haven't heard anyone mention the Stone jig in a long time. I cut my teeth using it and the FLW  ones from Wal-Mart 15 years ago.

I used to catch a lot of fish swimming a white stone jig with a white twin tail Fat Albert grub. One of the first jigs I ever had confidence in. 

Do-It Molds has off the shelf molds, blank molds for do it your selfer's and they will make up multi cavity molds per order, so give them call if you are serious about what you want your mold to have.

The weedless grass jig mold that smalljaw suggested is what I have been using for swim jigs.

I just got the poison tail molds and even though they were a bit of an investment, I do love them. I even started making a chatterbait model with the mold. I just trimmed down one of the weedguard hole pins to sit flush in the slot with the bottom of the jig head.. slightly opened the hook of the eye big enough for the blade to fit in. That works best, but you can also connect the blades with a couple split rings... sorry on a rant. They are expensive but imo, they were worth it. Best place to get them is from Barlows. They are $37 each there, compared to $53 each from Do-It.
