Siebert outdoors jigs

Featured Replies

Hi, I’m planning on making an order from Siebert Outdoors and I was looking at the dredge series of jigs. Are these good jigs and what are some good colors? Thanks

I find the jigs generally of great quality except for that Dredge hook, the Owner Deep Throat jig hook that is not a round bend.  I found that hook sets were a problem because it appeared that the "corner" on the hook would contact the roof of the fish's mouth allowing the jig to skid out on the set without the barb getting a good bite.  I rebent the hook on one to a round configuration and got much better percentage of sets.

I know others have not had this problem, and I don't know why I did, but I did.  And solved it with a rework to round.

I recommend the other series that don't have the Owner Deep Throat jig hook.

Great colors, so many that I cannot recommend specifics.  I like to have some with blue, some with black, of course dark green, and some with chartreuse.  For our lakes with bluegills, ones that match that hatch are good.

Thanks! How do you get him to customize them?

Dredge dock rocker is something I have tied on 100% of the time. Guy makes the best jigs.

That is really cool.  I will definitely have to have them do that for me on my next order.

He makes great chatter baits too! All are very reasonably priced. He does a top notch job. Send him a pm and tell him what you want, you won't be disappointed. ?

His jigs are the best IMO. I only order jigs from him. And I order my rage craw trailers from him to. Sieberts jigs are very well made. I beat my PB  twice this year using his jig.

1/4 oz sniper jig, black head, black skirt, with a rage chunk in it is killer in shallow stained water. Love the fogy's too. Wide wobble and body roll. You won't be disappointed

I have never had a problem with the Dredge Series. I really like that hook. I get solid hooksets all the time, and the hook stays sticky sharp for a long time. What I really like about it is that it is not a bulky, heavy-wire hook, which helps with hooksets. I don't fish any other jigs except Siebert's.

Fish some of the Mata jigs with the living rubber when you need a different look. Perfect for clear water or cold water. They come to life at rest!
