You names your boat "Bass Trek" as in Star Trek only with bass?

  • Hey it floats!  Almost a week and I finally got it out on the water.  I'm following the break-in instructions for the engine, so I couldn't open it up.  I got the first hour out of the way.  I went to

I am about to replace my bunks after I noticed that one of them broke and was considering going the Ultimate Bunk Boards route.  Anyone installed these?  What model and size did you go with and are they working well for you?

I'm thinking of putting them under Bass Trek this coming winter.

It broke. Starboard bunk towards the bow is bent downward at a noticeable angle.

My bunks are still holding on.  When the time comes I plan on getting some 8' plastic lumber 2X4's from Menards and doing it myself.

Be prepared to do a LOT of sanding. I actually looked at that stuff at my local Menards....it's very rough surfaced.

That's interesting.  Given how boats slide off so easily, you would think a little roughness would be preferred.  I'll have to look more closely.
