Tinting bass boat windshields

Featured Replies

Anyone ever done this or have any thoughts and recommendations?  I have a black 2005 Stratos 185 Pro XL and thought it would look a lot nicer than just having plain clear windshields when everything else is black.  I have also heard of people hydro dipping them, but I don't know anything about that.  Any insight would be appreciated.

Typically, you'd order one that fits your boat, and is made of tinted plastic.  The ones on my Bullet are totally black.  I know a few people have used these guys, but there are others as well.

I have not done but I have seen some windscreens painted on the backside so they do not chip or peel.  If it were me, I would either have them wrapped in vinyl or hydro-dipped.

Hydrodipping would be a pretty cool option. I saw on another site some Lowrance covers that were done and they made them pretty cool looking. However they were around $50, don't quote me but I thought that was send yours in and they'll do it for that price. So I wonder how much a windshield would be?

My Xpress was around $60 for a replacement.  The Bullet's are around $100.

Forgot about this! Definitely the way to go. Might do mine now that I think of it.

Anyone have any idea on the cost for vinyl wrapping or hydro dipping?  On a side note, I appreciate all the feedback!
