What’s your favourite online retailers

Featured Replies

Being at least an hour from any decent tackle stores, I’m starting to order more stuff online. Even if the shipping is a bit more, it’s still

better than a tank of gas. Aside from the usuals, TW, Amazon, eBay, BPS, Cabelas etc. is there any other good places to find tackle/gear. What’s everyone’s favourites?

I personally like the Swap & Sell portions of websites just like this one.  Better deals, custom baits, etc.  As always though, you need to know what is fair in pricing non-retailer items.

I'm unable to post the site I like for Zoom baits,

guess they've either requested to not be linked,

or are persona non grata here.

You might find a lot of that with a thread like this :)

So many sites out there, I only have used a few

you've mentioned above.

Flea markets, as @TOXIC mentions, are great, as well.

Academy is good for some stuff and  a $25 min for free shipping is a huge plus.

TackleWarehouse

Ilovehardbaits

Both of these have gotten too much of my money over the years.

Second that motion. And I get what I can off Amazon Prime. it's easy to get a lower price there if they have it.

PM me for a list of who I prefer. This is a dangerous thread as if the retailer isn't a sponsor and/or has requested they not be linked with Bassresource you could get your hands slapped severely (I know from experience...lol) for mentioning them by name or even abbreviation on here!

Provider for jig heads.

American Legacy for rods.

Tackle Warehouse for baits.

I never even thought about that, I’m fairly new to this site and don’t want to stir up any trouble ?. Thanks for the responses so far though, I’ll check some of them out ( don’t tell my wife though ?).

Wow, talk about drama laced with rumors!  Geeze.

To set the record straight:

First off, as I've said over and over again - it never had or has anything to do with sponsors - ever.  I've made that extremely clear over the years.  Anything to the contrary is simply false. Period.

2nd - it has everything to do with spam.  Some sites have come here with the sole purpose of filling up these forums with spam - to the point we finally had to block them.  That said, there are a few that specifically requested to be removed from this site permanently, so I obliged to their wishes.

3rd - if you mention their name in a post, and see "***", let it go; that's one of them (as explained in the FAQ's).  Repeated and egregious attempts to thwart that will result in a friendly reminder to refrain.  Why? Because many of them have and still do come back and try to pimp themselves here.

If you want spam-filled forums, then go find them.  There's plenty.

Thanks for clearing up the "sponsor" thing and to be fair to myself I did mention in the and/or part of my answer that the vendors may have requested to not be linked with Bassresource. I thought I'd try and help a newbie not accidentally get in trouble as I'm pretty sure not everyone reads through all of the "do's and don'ts" before they start posting here. Not trying to spread malicious rumors and if i erred, my bad. Just trying to prevent others from making the same mistake I did. Bassresource is a great place for any angler to come and get a boatload (pun totally intended) of knowledge to help them become a better fisherman (or woman)!

Thanks Glenn for the info and clearing up the whole *** thing for me as well, I’m sure I read all the faq’s before I started doing much on here but my tiny brain does tend to miss some things from time to time ?

I like posts like this, I'm always looking for places that have good deals..Alot of times its hard to get something local because if a certain lure works well in that area most of the time it's sold out.

I'm the weird one and go straight to the manufacture website. I feel like if you made the product and released it to the public you should get ALL the money towards that product and not have to share profits with a company that simply puts your product on the shelf and does nothing to promote it.

Tackle Warehouse is my go to store.

I check out the local auctions, garage, and yard sales. Sometimes you can run across some really good deals.
