so i went to the spring fishing and boat show yesterday and got to meet an awesome Canadian angler and one of the announcers for the elite series Dave Mercer. we talked for a bit and he's a super cool guy also got a signed hat by dave, pretty cool way to end the day

It was a pretty cool show! Lots of awesome people to talk to! I held the door open for the owner of live targets father and he hooked me up with a bunch of lures and gear! Then introduced me to Scott Martin!!! I was so nervous meeting him I could hardly talk hahaha

 

Was he working the Shimano booth?

No Shimano dropped tv shows so he is looking for new sponsors for rods and reels

This is a major reason to hit the big shows. You can meet the movers and shakers in the bass fishing industry.

Yeah I knew Shimano had dropped sponsorship which is why I was curious about all the Shimano and Jackall signs in the background. Must have been just a coincidence.

jackall is still a sponsor which of course was right beside the shimano booth

After watching that I've gained a little more respect for Dave Mercer. I've enjoyed his shows,  this years hasn't been the greatest and him losing Shimano could explain why they seem to be using some stock footage, and maybe why he's done way more other species shows.
