War eagle spinnerbait colors

Featured Replies

Hi, what are your favourite war eagle spinnerbait colors for mostly clear water? Also in clear water are the screamin’ eagles better than the standard double willow? Thanks!!

Mouse and I think the other one is called mouse Shad

For river smallmouth in VA I use the screamin eagle white skirt, gold head, gold blades. Second would be white/chartreuse skirt still with gold blades. My experience, gold blades out catch silver 10-1, cloudy or clear skies.

I like the colors of spot remover, mouse and blue herring shad. I like the screaming eagles better but I do have and use both sizes. I have not had much luck with gold frame spinnerbaits.

It depends on where you are fishing but here in Merryland I have always has better luck with silver blades over gold. Susquehanna it was the opposite but I carry both and let the fish decide. As far as colors for clear water mouse or some version of it is always rated at the top.

For colors you may want to refer back to your previous posts on this very question as some good info was listed along with the good info in this thread. I'll link one of them below.

You've asked basically this same question a few times over now, please refer to your previous post.
