Has anyone used them nose hooked on their dropshot set-up ? how was the action ,did  it  work good ?

I wacky rig them, but I don't see why it would be an issue to nose hook.  When I wacky rig them on a drop shot, it's for deep water.  I want it to be just like shallow water presentation, but I don't want to wait for it to get through 25' of junk water.  So, I use a 4' drop line, and when the sinker hits bottom, then I add slack, and pay attention for the slack line bite, just like a normal wacky rigged senko.  I prefer straight fluoro for this.  Can be a killer presentation on tough days.

I do it all the time but i use a 4ot ewg and hook them like a texas rig, keeps small fish from pulling the senko off and keeps it weedless.

I like the 4" senko wacky rigged for a dropshot in most situations, it feels "lighter" to me and easier to work if you're casting out away from the boat. I've tried the 5" senko but it feels very "heavy" and I feel like it's always sinking on me if i'm not fishing it DIRECTLY under the boat where I can keep a minimal amount of slack line. It might just be in my head. 

 

Play around with it. I often see 4" senko's on clearance and have found them to be a nice dropshot bait.

I wacky rig.  Afraid nose hooking will result in lost bait.

 

But honestly I never DS a senko.  I have plenty of other options I prefer.  Takes a specific scenario to switch from neko rig senko to DS

Wacky drop, yes, but not nose hooked.

 

I will be trying some 3" senkos this year on the drop,

though.

I gotta try that. I t-rigged a 4" senko and ultravibe craw on a drop shot up in 1000 islands last fall, and it worked ok in 20-30 feet. Going back up in June.

I've dropped 5" senkos nose hooked. A few 3 lbers on it, but more often it's just getting tail tugged by perch. Lost too many, so I switched back to smaller cheaper baits, robo worms and dream shots mostly. If I do drop shot senkos now I wacky rig them

A wacky rigged senko is about the only thing I have confidence in on a dropshot. The thin senkos work great on a dropshot wacky rigged too. 

Goes back to my overused saying..."there is no wrong way to rig a Senko"  I have friends who dropshot a 5" Senko on a short tag line with heaver line and weight on the Potomac and do well with it.  To me personally a Dropshot is a finesse technique and my preferred bait is a 5" Pro Senko T-Rigged with a 1/4 oz QuickDrop dropshot weight.  I have fished that rig in 60 feet of water and 3 feet of water.  It's the best "all-around" setup for me.  You can adjust for conditions by upping the weight or downsizing the bait (I switch to a Yamamoto Shad Shaped Worm).

That's one of the places I've done well with this.  I'm just expediting the bait through unproductive water column.  Give it a try, Even if I'm wrong, you'll probably get bit up there, lol.
