190 whopper plopper...?

Featured Replies

Matt Allen says they have a place in LM bass fishing...so I got one. It's huge! Lol

When/where is the time to use this monster?

Where there are FL strain bigguns.

A place where the topwater bite is hot and everyone else is using buzzbaits, 110's, and 130's. I've never fished a whopper plopper and probably never will but if I did I'd buy the 190 size exclusively.

You'd probably still catch 2lbers on it easily but if I had one I'd use it in the wind. The 130 does a decent job in the wind but on really choppy days I don't think many other lures are going to grab attention in the waves than that 190.

You can hear that 190 2 coves away?

It's true.

The 190 takes special equipment to fish, swimbait gear really. I've caught 12" white bass on mine though, so it doesn't take big fish to hit them. I like to fish them when there's a good amount of chop on the surface and I really want something that is churning and making a disturbance. Having big fish around doesn't hurt in the decision making process.
