Waterproof Fishing Shoes or Boots

Featured Replies

I got myself some new raingear for this fishing season, I am now trying to find some good waterproof shoes, or boots to go with the raingear.  Any recommendations?  Price range under $100.

WalMart's been my friend for fishing boots.  If you wanna go simple/cheap, there's these for about $25:

If you're maybe looking to go a bit more heavy duty, there's these for $90:

I've been wearing the $25 ones for a couple seasons now, shore fishing forest preserve lakes and ponds, and they've held up extremely well.  No complaints.

I'm into my 2nd (or 3rd? maybe) year of Columbia Bahama Vent shoes.  They drain well, dry quickly and, perhaps most important, they have great traction on mossy, algae covered ramps and rocks.

I never go fishing (in the Summer) without my Crocs Swiftwater Deck Clogs.  $30 on amazon.  They are the best for fishing out of a boat.  You don't have to worry about getting your shoes wet when launching/trailering the boat.  They are very comfortable.

You might have to pay about $120.00, but the Merrell Moab 2 gore tex hiking shoe is legit. I've used it for fishing in rainy conditions for years.

I have some muck brand shoes.  They work well so far.  I have only had them 6 months

Same, they don't get sweltering hot either. I wear them year round when pond fishing.

Fila Skeletoes...I am a fan. They're great for floating, from a boat, shore bassin', everything.

Sperry makes a wide variety of shoes designed for sailing but they are useful while fishing too.  I had a pair for years that finally fell apart and they are discontinued now but I would recommend the brand.

I like a little hybrid action with theses Sandle boots
