Just  curious on the Berkley fusion hooks. Anyone use them, if so how you like them? 

They are the sharpest things I ever used . You just touch them and they attach to your fingers like velcro . In over 40 years of fishing I have buried a hook past the barb three times . Twice was on the fusion hooks . They are nasty.

Got a couple packs late last year.  No issues....I'd put them alongside my Gammys, but I prefer Owner to both

The ones on their crankbaits are the sharpest I ever used . They are scary sharp ,  stick to my fingers like velcro . I stuck myself with them the past two years .  I only stuck myself once the previous fifty .

They came on some berkley jerkbaits i picked up. Crazy sticky sharp, but i have had 3 break on the 3rd wire/hook at the weld.  So ive swapped them all out now to gamakatsu g finesse hooks 

Some of my favorite hooks. Wicked sharp and the price is great. 

I really like the trebles and I use them for lighter T-rigs like weightless stick worms or finesse baits. They don't seem to be real sturdy if you use the heavier models. I tried some of the straight shank flipping hooks and had problems with rolled points and hooks opening. They're very sharp though. 

My go to hook. Ewg and offset worm hook. Picked some of the Berkley ned rig jig heads too that look really good, have not fished those yet. Far cheaper than some of the higher end hooks.

I am wondering if those ned rig heads would make the bait fall in a more horizontal attitude than a vertical.  Seems like with the weight shifted somewhat out towards the tip/bend of the hook it would also make it more difficult for the bait to stand up off the bottom.

I don't think it will effect it, but I will test it later today. Have to be a home test as we are under a foot of snow

I may be in the minority, but I have only tried the worm hooks in the fusion series and don't like them. The angle they sit at is kind of off compared to how gama hooks sit.

Which fusion are we talking here then? EWG, treble hook?

I use a lot of fusion 19 EWG in 7/0 and 4/0, they are sharp but also they are thicker compared to other. I like 4/0 EWG Gamakatsu better, I don’t have to set hook as hard to risk of braking my line, but 7/0 (Zoom Magnum Fluke) I prefer fusion all the way.

It will fall vertical but also depends on type of plastic. I like the Berkeley half head jig (1/16oz) more than Zman. It look smaller profile?, easier to thread TRD or 1/2 zinkerz. I think it is a tad heavier than Zman because I can cast a little further. 

Other plastic that not float I like Zman which I use a lot in 1/10 oz as my stand up jig with 4” hula grub and baby brush hog. 

I like the EWG "super line" hooks. Gamakatsu is still my go-to brand, but the fusions fill a few gaps that I can't cover with the Gamakatsu's. The fusion 2/0 super line's are fantastic for small compact flipping baits like GYCB fat baby craws, or 3" Berkley Chigger craws. They are smaller than Gammy's and "fit" small baits better.

*Used the drop shot /  finesse hooks - work well and priced well !

I use the weedless wacky hooks with the mono weed guard.  They work great and like said are super sharp.  Price is great too.

The thing I'm most impressed with the packaging of the fusion 19 hooks. Making hook organization easier than its ever been before. The clamshell packaging easily breaks away from the cardboard from the original packaging. And the shells are labeled with the hook size on the front. Treble hooks are in a small compact cube with hooks stuck in a small piece of foam. Small drop shot and finesse hooks are in tiny shells. When you leave it in the shell they don't bounce around the tackle box and easy to pick hook sizes. All the shell packages form around the hooks keeping it about as small as possible.  Seems simple but Berkley hit the nail on the head by allowing anglers to keep hooks in a compact shell. 

I like all of them, especially the pricing and packaging. The only downside is that they don't hold a point as long as a gamakatsu. But I change hooks constantly anyway, and it makes more sense for me to use less expensive ones if that's what I'm doing!
