I looked through the Walmart tackle section while I was getting an oil change today, and didn't see any Mister Twister lures.  They had always been some of my favorites.  Have they fallen out of favor?  I've probably caught more fish on a Mr. Twister meeney spin than any other lure.

Bill, as far as I know, Mr. Twister is still available at some Walmart stores and on-line.

 

Walmart changes their baits at different times depending on what the department buyer sees as good investments for fast turnovers and good profits within the display areas square footage. If the sales data shows Mr. Twister baits sell fast and the profit margin is within acceptable parameters, you will find the Mr. Twister baits at your local Walmart.

 

If Mr. Twister is not performing to the expected standards, other baits will replace Mr. Twister based on how the other baits are performing in your Walmart or based on the sales results of Mr. Twister in other Walmart's.

 

Walmart changes their products in every department based on sales. So what you see today may not be there next month. This is retailing as you know and Walmart is very good at their retailing.

I’ve seen Walmart put baits on clearance only to restock it with the spring baits, weird....mr twister top prop rocks.

Not sure where I last saw the Meeny Spin in a store... it's been a few years probably.  But you can order the jig spinner forms on the Mr. Twister website, at least:

I made a thread recently about Mister Twister, because I found some older 6" worms I had stored away. They are still there, making some good baits.

I have given up looking for Mr. Twister products on the shelf.  I buy them online now.

They use to be everywhere but I can hardly find them in a store.  DSG carries the crappie baits but nothing else.  I always liked their lizards. Great bait.
