OKLAHOMA CHOCOLATE MILK

You haven't seen muddy lake water like this. Lakes have been filling up so fast the flood gates can't keep up. Inch and a half in two hours this morning. More on the way Monday? This sure puts a cramp in fishing.

Saw a video today of a local lake with water coming OVER the top of the flood gates with each wave coming down the lakes and even water being forced through the gates by the pressure. I'd be nervous and angry by the incompetence and failed management by the state if I lived below that dam and near it's watershed.

We had a similar condition here in TN earlier this spring.  Sometimes there is just more rain than the state/Corps of Engineers can deal with.  Floods happen.  Plenty of time to reorganize your tackle Harold!

It has sure made for some tough fishing and trying to get softball games played.

I hope they have those gates opened wide because this beast that's coming tomorrow is going to dump some major water into these lakes.

Hunker down, today is going to be rough.

Going to be releasing 1.7 MILLION CFM out of the dam of the lake I mentioned in my first post in this thread today. The little river below the lake cannot hold anywhere near that amount of water. There's a small town a very short distance below the lake, on the rivers edge where it bends a few times. I'd be evacuating my home if I was them.

If it wasn't for the fishing, I'd be out of this state.

The baseball field here in town is underwater . Even the wall that surrounds the field is under water . I wonder if there are bass holding on the pitchers mound .
