Seeking updated information of what your favorite paddle tail soft plastic swim baits are for the 1/4th oz. - 3/8th oz. swim jigs ?

Also , if you use finesse swim jigs in a smaller profile - list smaller paddle tail swim baits you like for those as well ... Shad and Bluegill colors - thanks in advance !

I prefer subtle as far as the paddletail action on a swimjig.

Pictured are a discontinued Berkley Powerbait offering I stock piled a while back. (don't remember the name).

For currently available trailers, Swim Senkos, RI Little Dipper and the 3.5 & 4 inch Keitech Swing Impact Swimbaits fit the bill.

I don't have much success with a swim bait trailer for some reason. 

When do rig one it's a Skinny Dipper. 

 

 I like either a twin tail grub or the Rage Menace better.

This is my standard swim jig, a 1/4oz jig with a 3.75" Rage Swimmer trailer.  It's the perfect size for where I fish, 1 pound bass can choke it but it's big enough to get the interest of larger fish.  When I want a smaller profile I use a Rage Menace trailer and cut the skirt back to the hook bend.  For tiny jigs I want to swim, I use various curly tailed grubs and I have never found a paddle tail with enough "meat" in the body to stay on a jig very well.  

BPS Speed Shad are great baits. They are very consistent in action, have good density for staying on a hook, great color and size availability, and come in at a great price. BPS runs them 25% off regularly too. 

Keitechs mentioned above are very good, Yum has one that is very good, and Strike King KVD coffee is very good in a slim shape.  Z man has plenty of action, but if you are snapping them off the bottom then they are a little too soft; the tail ends up getting

 stabbed by the hook now and then.  

I use the Keitech Swing Impact Fat in either 3.8 or 4.8, but when I'm running short and not needing anything else for an online order I get the Strike King Rage Swimmers at the local BP.

Nope, it's a Siebert Shot Caller.  I asked for a custom color to complement the KVD Magic RT color and bought like a dozen of them, I think they are going to last me a while, I only seem to loose them when a pick or turtle takes an interest.

*With finesse swim jigs becoming popular - finding a good paddle tail trailer that fits well and kicks well could become a problem .

Keitech Swing Impact Fat 3.8 in green pumpkin and bluegill flash. I've been using it on swim jigs as many others have successfully for years. Not my most productive trailer though. I fish mostly clear and tea colored waters.

Keitech Fat Swing Impact 3.8 in ghost rainbow trout has been killer for me this year.
