Have many people used this reel?  It has a disengaging spool shaft similar to what is found on the zillion.

I am using the reel on a dedicated jig rod.

I have one, good value, nice looking, feels nice.

Agree, but mine still sits in its box.

I've been looking at this reel for some time but haven't pulled the trigger on it. $155 on Amazon right now, makes it very tempting. Can't find much information on the forums or YouTube though. Not many user reviews or videos on this one

I've been using it on my crankbait rod.  Very smooth, and it makes effortless casts.  I like how it's easy to adjust the brake system - the brakes just click in or out, without fear of them falling out (or into the reel) due to the enclosed housing.  Makes it easy to make on-the-water adjustments.

Drag is nice and smooth too.  Comfortable reel handles/grips.

I think my only "gripe" about it is when my hands get wet it's a little difficult to grip due to the super-smooth frame.

But otherwise it's every bit a $250 reel at a far less price.

I like it quite a bit.  It reminds me of how an Daiwa Alphas feels in my hands, size wise.  As far as performance, it just work like any other reel should.

As a mod, I have received several reels from our sponsors over the years. I try them out for a while, and then pass them on to somebody who needs one. Mostly kids, but have now decided to send them along with the rods I build for our ongoing Warrior Project.

The only exception is the Helios. I’m keeping that little jewel.

Love mine, have it paired with a Helios 7' 6" H/F for fishing jigs. One of of the nicest reels I own.

Mine is on a dedicated soft plastic rig...XXX
