Water temps in the 50's is middle of WINTER here. That would probably be jig/craw, lipless crank and a spinnerbait with single, big Colorado blade. We do get periods of Indian summer though. Some years, I've taken pictures of my fish in a kayak wearing shorts with bare feet. I like to put it off as long as I can.

*Here is Georgia we have been breaking records every day since June with most days EVER in the high 90's (97 today) and water temps are in the upper 80's . Bass are confused - the days are getting shorter but the temps are not dropping ,so they still think it is late August and not moving up shallow getting their fall feed bag on in preparation for winter . Everything is out of whack here  - it's early Oct. and ledge fishing with large plum colored T-rigged worms rule the day !

Today is the last day in the high 90’s until at least nextJuly here in Georgia.thank goodness that it’s leaving us.time to pull out the 1/4 oz rattle traps and no.5 and no.7 shadraps as the bait will move back into creek mouths.what a nice change in the weather for us.wer’e looking at highs in the seventies for quite awhile now which will set up some good bass fishing for us
