I would say that it was time for a new one. How long had it been since you changed it?

14 years. I always visually verify it's pumping water. I returned to the ramp last week after fishing and noticed that it wasn't pumping a full stream. I'm guessing one fin broke off then helped the rest come unglued. New impeller is installed and a replacement in the tool box. Phone calendar alarm set for 2 years.

14 years???? ???

Yep. I should be beat upon the head and neck.

If you don't use your boat everyday of the week or run your motor the whole time when your out, you don't really need to change your impeller every season. I pre run my motor the day before I go to the lake to make sure it starts and pees straight...
