Light tackle spin fisherman. For spotted bass, mostly. Retired educator. Fished bass clubs on Ky. Lake, Lake Euraula and Lake Seminole for several years. Light spinning tackle is all I throw, except in the pads or grass. Use mono and copoly. They have better knot strength in light lines than flouro. Don't like the way braid feels and handles on a spinning rod and reel.

Fished for smallmouth in a lot of streams in Tennessee where I grew up. Also wade fished for over 50 years on and off below Pickwick Dam, catching a lot of white bass, several crappie, several saltwater stripes up to 17 lbs, and several smallmouth over 5 lb. and a few of everything else that will bite artificial bait. Fishing there is not what it used to be for several reasons. Also caught tons of speckled trout, several redfish and other saltwater fish along the Florida coast from Destin to the St. Marks River. Looking forward to learning from all of you and tweaking my finesse fishing for spotted bass in particular. I enjoy keeping up on the latest equipment and techniques.
