Does anyone know the differences between these two ? 

7 Bearing count & 1000-4000 sizes on Tatula LT. Kage LT 10 Bearing count & 1000-2500 size.

Oh yeah you can't deny that cork knob doesn't look nice.

Spec wise the Kage has more bearings and is smoother

I was checking on this reel awhile ago, I think 2 bearing are on the knob but not sure the third one, maybe under spool bearing?

Have felt both are they are both amazing. Not sure on the bearing placement but the Kage did feel and look very good. But yea it has more bearings than the Tatula LT

Anyone use it for awhile? Let us know how it is durability wise and just all around?

I bought mine when they first came out last year. A 1000,2000, and will be picking up the 2500 this year too, if that tells you anything. Don't have lots of time on them, just from august- late November when the ice rolled in. I think they're awesome. 

Bumping for any updated feedback on the Tatula vs Kage.

I have been dropshot fishing a Kage LT 2000D-XH with the Kage 6'10 medium fast jerkbait/tube rod since mid-summer.

 

I checked in a store that had a Tatula LT 2500D-XH and a Kage LT 2000D-XH, and found that the spools are interchangeable between the Tatula and Kage reels and the 2000 spools will fit the 2500 and vice versa. The spool arbor diameter is the same between the 2000 and 2500, only the outside diameter of the spools is different. I couldn't feel any discernable difference between the Tatula and Kage in the brief in store 'test'.

 

I went with the Kage LT 2000D-XH reel to match my Kage rod as the $10 price difference seemed fair given the extra bearings and cork handle.

The only problem is Tatula LT is widely available more than Kage LT and more often you can find it at discount price 150-170. If only 10 different, I would go for Kage LT any day. I like old style Daiwa chubby knob better and the bearing, even though I can’t see it improve any performance but still better than bushing. I even ordered RCS cork knob for my Ballistic to match Kage LT and that cost more than 10 or 20 for sure.

They are very different.  The Kage has the monocoque body.  No side panels with screws.  Kage has mag seal bearings.  Neither reel has a bearing on the spool shaft but do have large nylon support bushings.  The Kage feels more refined and is lighter.  You can have the cork knob.  If it’s size for size, the Luvias  is made in Japan.
