Mepps Black Fury #5 has always been one that has caught fish for me.  I think I have caught bass, crappie, bluegill, and   small mouth on it.

Dressed or plain?

Mepp's>Roostertail ?

I’m a fan of both but I agree Mepps spin way better. Though I’ve got tons of smallmouth and largemouth on Roostertail.

I agree, I killed it last year with a #2 and #3 gold on gold Blue Fox Vibrax.

The Cabelas/BPS Classic Sale shows they'll be discounted, I plan on stocking up on a few.

If you love 'em, that's awesome.  Got nothing against it.  I find the wire bends too easy and then it's tougher to get them to spin properly.  But that's my issue and not yours.

Little while back on a BPS sale I bought a few of the "Worden's Vibric Rooster Tail Lure".  Had never used any of the Vibric type.  Have not had a chance to try them out yet, unfortunately.  They seem different in maybe they are more of a vibrating blade versus a spinning blade?  Anybody used these?  They were like a buck fifty.  Figured it was worth a try at that price.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Abu Reflex. Abu Garcia's answer to the in-line spinner.

Agreed, put one on recently and cleaned up! Caught 5 different species of fish on 2 sizes.

I love them, I make my own. My two latest ones, I made them on the bigger side so that it's more appetizing to pike as well.20200223_193443.thumb.jpg.1fcf379a336ee419b54c4a8419d01a7c.jpg
