My new toy - Rapala Digital Scales

Not exactly new , I purchased these last year but they have been a lot of fun . Every time I go fishing I weigh my first five over 12 inch fish , releasing them after they are weighed   . The scale keeps track of each fish , I think up to ten . After the first five I'm culling like in a tournament . Sometimes I add a few ounces to the total sometimes lbs . My highest total so far in less than a year has been just shy of fifteen lbs . Its kind of a rush when I get to erase a dink with a solid kicker . Any way , it adds a little bit to my excursions and even if I'm catching dinks , it keeps me motivated to catch bigger fish .

The one I have is the Rapala High Contrast .

I would like to get one too. My old scale is a Zebco De-Liar. It's kind of an antique really. I'd like to upgrade

My buddies and I all have the Rapala touch screen tournament scales.  I do the same thing as you a lot of times.   I will catch, weigh, and release fish and keep track of my Best 5 fish weight.   Often times, my buddies and I will each take our own boats and have quick individual catch, weigh, release tourneys for a little practice and ?.   They are really accurate too.   When we are culling our tournament fish (the scale is AWESOME for that), our scale weight is always really close to our tournament weight on their scale.  It is a tool I would never be without now.

I have that scale too. It’s pretty good. I don’t generally weigh my fish but the nice thing about that scale is the compact size and the clip - not the stupid metal hook that most scales come with.

I think that's the one we use too, my buddies and I. There should be multiple channels for multiple anglers each up to (5? to 10?) fish a channel. It's fun because it let's us save our PB's and then compete daily as well.

Oh! Apologies. I looked again and it's only total weight that gets kept per channel. We have the High Contrast one as well. My mistake!

I have the High Contrast Digital Scales from Rapala. I weighed a sack of fruit at the grocery store in town on their meat scales which are spot on and the sack weighed 3.1435 to be precise and the Rapala scales weighed the sack at 3.14 so I would say they are close for fish in the range I would be catching. Not sure how they are at 25 lbs plus though, but I would say perfect for keeping track of your catches.
