stradic c14+ line ??

Featured Replies

Hey guys  I was able to get the hot deal on the Bps stradic c14+ 2500hg today. going to put it on a Dobyns SA 704sf  7' med/hvy fast action rod.

what size line do you guys recommend. Was using 10lb braid currently. Fish alot of  thick grass, lily pad shorelines along with brush piles> used alot of yum dingers and neds on it now but open to suggestions. Would 30 lb power pro be to heavy of line and over kill on a spinning reel? what would you guys use.   lb line and kind{braid, mono. floro} thanks

one my older CI4+ i run 20 or 30lb braid, currently J braid i think, but usually the 30lb and it does very well.  I have used power pro suffix etc....i am not too picky about braid but i know i didn't like the 832 or whatever it was called.

I would do 20, it’s easier to tie then 10 or 15 if you have big hands. 20 would probably do better on a mh rod.

I regard 30-lb braid as the pivot point, which can handle a litany of tasks by itself.

From there, you can go higher or lower depending on how you purpose your fishing outfit.
