    It's only my second Father's Day but we had a good one. I bought my daughter a lil pink pole before she was born... Getting closer to her first fish everyday...

    My wife and 3 daughters came out fishing. One daughter learned how to sling a topwater frog on spinning gear, one whined for 2 hrs and the other was throwing a plum trickworm.

    My wife enjoyed a book.

     

    It was a rare moment for a father with teenagers.

    Last evening I took my 17 year old to the creek I've been fishing for smallies to celebrate Father's Day. The fishing has slowed considerably as the summer heat kicks in, he and I both peppered the trees with lures as we for some reason lost all ability to cast accurately, and we got chased from two holes by snakes. But we laughed our butts off the entire evening. It was a great Father's Day.
