25 June 2020 ~ Don't Forget the Paddles

After a somewhat delayed start, Lynn and I spent the later portion of the morning and half the afternoon on Lake Menderchuck south in the Old Town Canoe. There was plenty of summer sun as well as an abundance of wind; which seemed to build as the day wore on.

This trip was all about getting Lynn on a spinnerbait bite and conditions seems about right; at least at the start.

Armed with a ‘custom’ bait & rig, she went to work.

Didn’t take long either.

Been there, done that. Got to the ramp one morning to see empty clamps where my paddle is suppose to be. It's backup in case the TM gives out, the battery dies or the TM's prop is weed-chocked. So back to the house for me that day...luckily that launch point is only 10 minutes from the house.

Good on Lynn for getting spinner-bass - always a fun time. She looked so busy hauling them in...did you even get to cast? :)

I did cast, several times in fact.

Just didn't catch a whole lot this trip.

Just one of 'those days' I guess.

Lynn did a number on the green fish...way to go.

Then again, she was using the area's top guide. :smile1:

Awesome! Love the videos— keep them coming please!

Easy to forget to bring everything needed for a fishing trip , however it's also easy to forget to bring things back home . About 10 years ago I cartoped a small John boat  , carried all needed inside the station wagon . My wife and I fished a small lake for the first time ,then headed back home . A week later loading up for another fishing trip and my beautiful fishing rods were gone . I remembered laying the rods on the ground when loading the boat on the roof , gathered all the rest of the stuff in the wagon , but I  had forgotten the rods . Boy I called myself some really bad names when I realized what I had done.

Ouch! That is about as painful as it gets. Were you able to get them back or were they gone?

Great video! I have a Google Keep list for fishing. I have one list for the day before and for the day of. Every once in a while if I forget something new on the day of I add it to the list. I am down to only messing up once or twice a season now :)
