Add your light spinning with light line and you're good to go ...

i've done this ...  sometimes the bass will join in ...

good fishing ...

That looks cool. I was fishing MH until I got instructed to go lighter on this forum. Been getting more finessy is time goes on. I suppose fly fishing is the ultimate "finesse" technique.

Just thought of another lure that fits the bill. Rebel Teeny Wake-R.

Rebel Micro Critters. Crickhopper is one of the best about anytime there are insects buzzing around. They'll also eat up that tiny craw crankbait. You'll also catch some bass on it. These are killer creek lures.

That cricket hopper, does it work that good? I can't help but think it would be no different than a regular crankbait of similar size, but it just has a different shape. Does that different shape really make a difference.  It doesn't really look like a cricket to me very well. I'm wondering if the fish really think it's a cricket.

I just grabbed the tiny craw crankbait to try.

It works when there are insects present. I have a june bug and cicada as well. But the tiny craw works more often. But I admit I haven't used any of them in a long time. I generally don't target tiny fish.

Finesse topwater?

megabass cicada lure is great, spook zara puppy, i also heard evergreen came up with size 75 shower blows (have yet to see it)

I went this morning. I caught 8 on the Whopper Plopper. But I walked the bank of the pond with the Rebel micro junebug. I caught a bluegill and this bass and lost a bass. It was a good fight on my light combo. FWIW, I tied the craw on after this and didn't get a bite. There is one problem with this bait. You get the line caught on the front hook every other cast. I think the new ones have a single rear hook only.

Nice catches.

I saw those and little fly looking ones and thought they looked pretty cool too. I havent had a chance to toss my new micro stuff yet.

What size whopper plopper? i have the 90. I havent thrown it a lot yet but havent caught anything on it yet. But man you that thing has got to be a total reaction strike. It makes so much noise it seems more like a toy than a lure and it would scare more fish than catch them.

When you have Bluegill in your target specie list hook size is critical. Anything over size 8 may be too big for the tiny mouth.

The casting bubble allows you to use spinning tackle with tThe fly/popper on a leader 12"-18" behind the float.

Crappie have a good size mouth and several lures suggested will work.

It was the size 90 WP in monkey butt color. I got a 3.5 lbs and several 2 pounders. I caught one on it this morning. I had not caught many fish on them before that day. I also have a 130 in bone color. I caught a couple last spring on it. Quality fish. Fish seem to chase them out of cover like they're afraid a meal is getting away.
