BASS St. Clair

Featured Replies

Watched quite a bit of BASS live today while working. It wasn't a smash fest but they're catching some quality fish. Quite a few 19 and 20 pound bags on BASSTRAK. The Johnston boys and Fieder are at the top of the leaderboard. According to BASSTRAK the top 12 are all over 19 pounds. It was interesting today seeing the different ways they were catching them.

I bet not too many people have Hansselman or Yelas on their fantasy team!

I miss fishing this lake so much. It's world class.

Some really nice bags and people doing different things too

John Cox fishing seawalls on the river and other guys fishing open water with nothing else in sight

I miss that clear blue northern water.

Seems like further south they have a different definition of clear water

Speaking of John Cox, does that guy ever not catch them!? Wow!

Judging from the weigh in, they caught them even better today! Top 16 over 40 pounds (day 2)!

I thought this was a funny picture.

Clear water is green on TVA lakes. And you live on one of the clearest ones around haha. Chilhowee of Fontana would be good ones for you to try , the little T is the clearest water I know around here

that was awesome

That was awesome! I thought Cox had it wrapped up. Weidler kind of flew under the radar with all the attention on Cox and the Johnston brothers.

He also fished an area of St Clair that doesn't get pounded by bass boats that time of the year. That area isn't as deep only about 12-13 fow vs more like 18 - 20 fow near where alot of the other anglers were like the Johnston bros.

You could see how disappointed Cox was at the final weigh in. :( Was puling for him as usual.
