Although hurricanes and storms are bad, i was wondering if fishes eat heavily after it happens... something to do when the power goes out right? 

I’ve always done my best right before a storm. Never had much luck after a storm 

After a storm you usually end up with blue bird skies and higher barometric pressure.  I usually do better before a front goes through.

After a storm I head to flooded creaks and Inlets to the lake.  Usually a good foood source and low vis water.  Usually not as good as prefrontal or during the front

My best has been before a storm comes in after days of blue skies and nice weather.  Feeding frenzy!

I have caught bass sometimes before and sometimes after storms. It depends on the bass and what they want. 

Always 1-2 days before an approaching cold front or a long duration storm with high winds. 

Stay home 1-2 days after.

After is usually tough, it's the time prior to the storm that is usually good.

As stated above, fishing after a major weather event usually isn't all that productive. I've fished after numerous hurricanes and tropical storms and things can get interesting a few days after if water levels are still high. Suddenly tall grass on the banks is now grass partially submerged in the water. It's new cover for bass and usually a target rich environment for fish feeding on insects.

Several other posts on this topic.  The easy answer is before yes, after No.  The water PH gets screwed up, and a bunch of chemical run-offs in the water.

Umm...not today for sure!
