Anyone have experience with using Seaguar r18 hard flouro as a main line

Featured Replies

I heard that the stretch was very low but am unsure. I was conserving trying it as a main line alternative to braid to leader. It's odd that it comes in 87 yard spools.

I might be wrong, but I thought that the "R18" was industry designation for a particular Kureha formulation. There is R18  line, like this:

This is 100 meters, or ~330 yards.

And then there's R18 HARD, like this:

This is 87 meters, or ~88 yards.

It was my impression that the regular R18 was a fishing line, and the R18 hard was a leader material. That would account for the difference in yardage.      jj

I bought two spools , #4 & #6 of this today. Looks like a great deal, but while

I was browsing their site, the Japanese Bait Monkey jumped me.

Good Price.

I'll be checking that one out.

Thanks

So what does this get me over InvisX or Finesse?

Don't know, but I will report after I receive the line and fish it awhile.

The promo states "improved flexibility".

Raising the dead here…. How has this line performed for those that have used it and what are your main uses for it?  Been eyeing this line and wanting to order some.   Thanks.
