I've finally done it. I picked the guy who finished dead last...    Kelley Jaye, way to go bud. You've got multiple top 10 finishes in the state of Alabama and a few more top 30's.

I'm sticking with Zaldain . If he does bad , he does bad for 60 percent so it doesnt hurt so much .

i took yelas too. 64% just too high for me. i also took a flyer on cox in bucket a . hes great in shallow water and on sight fish. im banking on some big fish being on beds. i wanted to pick fieder since hes my guy. not sure why i didnt, lol

Plus, I like his history on Fork & sight fishing.

He finished 13th two years ago when they were there in the Spring and 13th last year when they were there in the fall.  That seems to show a comfort level with the lake no matter the time of year.

If it is a sight fishing derby, I think back to Zaldain on the Delta in late April of 2015.  He caught a 30lb bag the first day which included a 12lb pig, followed it up with a 20lb plus bag the 2nd day & then ran out of fish to finish in the middle of the top ten.

Most importantly, this is bucket E, where a top 10 finish is just as likely as a two day zero...

I always have Seth in my line-up...gotta support the home-town boy.

Killed myself with some picks and couldn't have been better with others...

Most interesting thing I've noticed today...

Clifford Pirch has 0 fish in his livewell and has caught 5 fish so far that weren't big enough to keep.

Seems like Zaildain is on fire or in the bottom 10.  Must be biting the big swimbait today lol

i dont blame you. hes one of my favorites. learned alot from him on you tube etc.

Doing fantastic in drain the lake!  550th place!  94.5%!

Does BassResource have a drain the lake leaderboard?

Williepp didnt get his picks in . He was in the top ten overall .

98th percentile for DTL and place 161. Decent start there. Anyone know if they're giving out prizes for that too lol?

My regular team on the other hand....yikes. I have Walters in first and that's about it. 3 of my other guys are between 40th-50th so they're in a decent position to fish Day 3. Still, the standings are so tight that I wouldn't be surprised if all 3 miss the cut.

Well, I took a jump in the BR group - 52nd to 37th spot.

Also moved my percentage from 50 to 74

Let's hope my guys continue to do well at Fork.

Does anyone know what happened to Combs?  Did he say anything from stage as to why he had a tough day?

I had 3 in the top 10 (Walters, Zaldain & Blaylock), 20th (Pipkins) & then Combs, who bombed.  He was the last person in the world I would have worried about not catching them.

Wow - I did better than I thought...this morning's e-mail update

image.png.cff103436416a98425dcb4b8798d82c6.png

Interesting change in Bucket C...

Keith Combs was the top choice in this bucket (41%) followed by Clark Wendlandt (15.1%).  After day one, Combs was in 89th & Wendlandt was in 48th.  That gave those 15% of the field a whopping 84 point lead over nearly half the field in this bucket.

Then today Combs weighed in 24 lbs while Wendlandt zeroed.  They basically swapped spots, Combs moving to 42nd with Wendlandt dropping to 93rd.  That 84 point advantage for 15% of the field suddenly flipped to a 102 point disadvantage.

I don't know if I have ever seen a 186 point swing in one day between the top angler chosen in a bucket and the 2nd choice.  In the words of an ex president "It was Yuuuuge".

Oh boy.... Wasn't doing badly the first day. Respectable. Day 2.... Wow never had all 5 guys drop so badly at the same time. Ah well, on to the next tournament lol

Looks like all five of my guys are fishing tomorrow - with two in the top 10 so far.

I've got four fishing tomorrow.  Kyle Monti did me dirty, 92nd place...
