Some would call that Tennessee or Mississippi rigged.

Might work, but it's still ugly.

Not the prettiest thing. I could have probably used one swivel if I angled it correctly but it works really good. Dunno if it will catch fish though.

There's got to be a better way to do that.  Too much hardware.  But hey, if it works, use it.  Let us know if it works.

It is similar to the whiz jig.

Get some shrink tubing and use that instead of braid to clean it up a little.

So it failed lol. Too long, kept getting wrapped up in between the hook and underside of the bait. It would still spin but would bump the bait and stop/start spinning.

Jigfishn10 nailed it - attach the blade to the first swivel with a split ring, and then either tie with heavy thread the swivel to the shank of the hook or as others have said shrink tubing

That sounds like it would work much better. I had it so long because the swivel couldn't swim properly because it was pointing straight down rather than at a backwards angle. Funny thing is after fishing it, it worked it's way loose and to a backwards angle. So I was able to remove the 2nd snap swivel and it works fine now. Although I will still think replacing the snap with a split ring is going to work better.
