Bass Pro Spring Sale

Featured Replies

Anyone here know when the bass pro spring sale is this year? I have a gift card and I am looking to pick up a new combo.

Usually it's late February or early March. It's varied a little year to year.

I asked this yesterday at cabelas the big sale should be frist week of march. A new reg ad should be starting this coming week.  I also talked with a employee and they said this year every thing is being kept quit they have no idea what will be on sale.

Based on previous years I’d expect only the house brand to be on sale. Seriously they have ruined what used to be a great event.

I heard sometime in March, but I don't know how accurate that is.

I’m hoping they continue the tradition of trading in old gear.

Got my Chronarch MGL with $50 for a BPS reel and gift cards.  Good program.

I have ads on my socials for a "Bass" related sale that is going on right now.

I bought a Daiwa Tatula ct for $105.00 two years ago and a SLX last year for $85.00. I try to wait for bps spring sale or Tackle Warehouse Black Friday sale for rod and reel purchases.

Our BPS has no stock as it is, so I doubt there will be much of anything this year.

Even if it’s not in stock if they’re offering a sale price it’s worth ordering in my opinion. At least here in Illinois I will have to wait a couple months after the sale to use it anyway.

Same here.  The stock is terrible.  The service is even worse.  Not possible to online shop at the local BPS here.  "basspro.com" takes us to a US and only US site and stores.  "basspro.ca" takes us to essentially cabelas.ca where we are able shop and look at Cabelas stock.  I like the Cabelas here and was so disappointed when I heard BPS bought them out.  Basspro so blatantly don't give a hoot about the Canadian market.  Don't know why they even bother coming here if that is their attitude.  Much rather shop anywhere else than BPS.  Rather support a smaller shop that project an image of caring than an arrogant US large retailer.

Yeah we canadians seem to be an after thought. It's not like we have a lot of water or fishing enthusiasts :)

I like their carbonlite rods and stick o's. Their selection is usually worth the hour drive for me, especially when they have their spring sales. That's when I tend to stock up and everything. I have a Sail store locally, but it's hit and miss. One local shop that's decent enough.

I sometimes find stuff in Amazon but nothing great. Walmart is horrible as is Canadian Tire.

What I would give for a Canadian tackle warehouse.

That definitely stinks. I bought a carbonlite 2.0 combo a couple years back for $120.00 during the spring sale, very happy with that purchase. Definitely a shame it costs so much to ship from Tackle Warehouse.

I asked about this at our Cabelas today. The fellow I talked to said he thought it was supposed to start March 11. He said there was supposed to be two different sales. If it is like years past there won't be anything on sale I want

I;was hoping BPS was for sale!

Tom

Wish they would bring back the Cabela's house reels, they were Daiwas. And the spring sale sometimes they have some pros. I met KVD at one.

The past few sales Bass Pro/Cabelas ran that I bought from, I ordered and the order was canceled.  I think the last was a Shimano Stradic CI4 reel or something.  So if you think you're getting a deal, don't let it break your heart a couple of days later.  Maybe shop in-store?

And rods...I really liked the XML rods at $100.

Did you know that tackle warehouse actually has a facility in Mississauga/Brampton Area.   That’s why your order arrives in 24 hrs.  You think it comes from California or wherever they’re located but it doesn’t.   But they still charge you US funds shipping and $80 and up brokerage fees.   Crazy eh?

Anyone got any info on the BPS spring sale yet?

I was there wednesday. They told me March 15 this year.

I have a Cabelas 2 miles from me and a BPS about 15 miles away. I was just on Cabelas/BPS web site and put in my local store...according to the web site, the Cabelas/BPS right by me does not have stock on a single rod or reel or sunglasses! Seriously...I sat for a half an hour or so messing around and looking at every possible model and size of rods, reels, sunglasses, etc. All say they are out of stock...funny because I was just at Cabelas a few weeks ago with my son who bought some sunglasses and the racks were full of rods, reels and sunglasses. Using their web site to shop is a waste of time.

Sounds like you have an advantage of being close by to run in and check the stock yourself while others might look online and give up.

Many of the Spring Sale items are in store only anyhow.

Got this off their site _
