New sheriff in town - stickbait content

Featured Replies

I like Senkos too, but we all know it just doesn't last long. At times, it's a "one hit wonder;" after just one use it gets torn up rendering it useless. Enter Riot bait's Baton. Its tri-hump body has very inviting action that attracts bass, and I've been killing it this year. I'm catching bass after bass, and I'm still using the same ol'bait that I started with. You can't beat that with a "stick" - pun intended.

I’ve seen these online and on YouTube when the bait monkey would lure me around the inter webs dissecting the lowest prices on things. I would like to try them for sure.

Have you texas rigged them? I’m curious how well that would work with the skinny area right about where the hook will be.

Looks to be designed specifically for wacky rig. And it's pretty clear that the action of this bait would be enhanced over the traditional "stick bait"

With Senkos, I'd Texas rig them most of the time for some reason or other. The Baton, however, is designed specially for wacky rigging. I've been meaning to try it on Neko rig, but with so much success I've been having lately with wacky style I just don't see any reason to try something different.

Caught a few more bass this morning, using the same exact worm (!) in Green Pumpkin.  After catching about 15 decent sized - mostly 2-3 lbs - bass with it, the bait is still going strong which I find it quite amazing. Granted that I'm using a wacky saddle with the worm, but still.

Another victim of Baton, and she appears to be about 3 lbs.

Looks like the Reaction Innovations Pocket Rocket with an extra hump.

Thanks for the suggestion. I picked up a few packs and also have been killing them at local ponds with these. I have also caught numerous fish from tiny to 3 lbs on the same worm. These are my new go to's.

Glad to hear it's working out for you. If you haven't already, I'd suggest using a wacky saddle which will prolong the life of worm. https://frenzybaits.com/store/Wacky-Saddle-Refill-25-Pack-c20420016

If you're using a regular size worm, get the large size. You can slide the worm right through the loops w/o using any special tools. No need to spend any X-tra money since we're spending enough on tackle already. lol
