First off, I love the forums here. I'm starting to learn a lot and love learning about fishing.

I grew up(6th grade through my senior year) on a river (Flambeau) south of a little community called Bruce. Smallmouth galore. Many, many summers in spent the day wading the river. I don't even have an estimate of how many I've caught.

I stopped fishing for many years because I got into PC gaming and it was hard to find time to fish with work and real life. I just got back into fishing last year.

Now at the age of 36, I find myself married and have a one year old son. Needless to say, not a good time in my life to be addicted to something(at least it's fishing and not other things). I'm now living in the Eau Claire Wisconsin area and find myself fishing mostly lakes. Using new techniques and baits has been a blast. Chatterbaits, ned rigs, wacky and neko rigs. The list goes on. My new favorite is catching panfish on my UL setup.

Thanks for stopping by and reading some about me. I'm sure I'll be posting a lot and helping other anglers out when I can.

Welcome aboard. Also glad you too have found the awesomeness of UL fishing.

You might want to plan on getting a snoopy/Spider-Man/Superman/Power Ranger/Sponge Bob rod and reel now for your son. Before you know it, he’ll be 16 and asking to borrow the car. Funny, but no joke. ?
