DDog1 Posted June 2, 2021 Posted June 2, 2021 Hi all, new to the forum and bass fishing too. A simple question, when you rig soft bait with hooks inside the bait, that means you want a heavier rod w less bend and maybe braid combined with a hard hook set so that combo of less stretch in gear and hard pull on rod, gets the hook out from swim bait and into fish, is that correct? Thanks! Quote

Thanks! Depends on how deep in the plastic you got the hook point. Tex-pose the hook and you can use light rigs and not that hard a hook set. Quote
