hello

What do you think of Johny Morris platinium casting rod for Botton contact tecniques.
I'm interested in 7.4MH fast. what do you think, sensitivity? how many Ton graphite construction.? What is the level of other lines?

I do not own one but I do have a Patriot and a bunch of signature series. They are all great rods for the money and now have a 10 year warranty. They are all nice and light and very sensitive. The platinum have sic Fuji guides. What ton doesn't mean anything. It's how the graphite used are blended and a lot has to do with how they are bonded. There are way more factors than tonnage of graphite.

I have the 7’1” med fast Platinum Signature and it is a great rod. Lightweight and has good sensitivity. I have a Carbonlite 2.0, Platinum, and a Patriot and they are all really good sticks for the price. Can’t go wrong with any of the Johnny Morris rods

I own six Platinum series baitcasting rods and reels in various lengths and love them all. Lite, strong and responsive. I bought mine prior to BPS coming out with the Platinum spinning rods so I bought three Patriot series spinning rods. They're great too!

I won’t buy a tomato stake from BPS/Johnny Morris.

Far from tomato stakes.

I see it this way.  If they are good enough for Edwin Evers and Ott Defoe, they're good enough for me.

I really like the BPS Crankin Sticks for all my movement baits.  Spinner bait, chatter bait, cranks of all kinds, swim jigs, buzz baits.  If you pull it, it works on the Crankin Stick.  $80 regular price.  I'll get a few more at the Spring Fling.

If Tom don't like Johnny Morris, that's his business, but the BPS products are pretty good.  Hard baits are still pretty marginal, but the soft plastics are good, and getting better.

Agree. I don't have them anymore but I did have a few when I first started to get serious about fishing.  The Extremes were pretty good bang for buck. I gotta figure the higher models would be good rods based on that.

Because they are light strong and sensitive. They also have a 10 year warranty. Tomato stakes do not.

I'm curious on this comment? Rod related or company related?

There is a lot of disdain for bps/jm these days. People have their reasons.

That doesn't.mean the rods aren't good.

Ethics not products. Morris destroyed Cabalas and the head quarter town of Sidney NB.
