If at all possible I avoid EWG hooks, I will use a straight shank or offset round bend.

You'd like the Rig'n Hook too. The point is way offset from the line tie. It's more like a typical offset hook.

Yep....the farther your hook point is above the line tie, the better your hookup ratio will be.  It is why straight shanks have the best hookup ratio.
