Black&Blue vs Junebug

Featured Replies

Some years ago, I tried tossing several plastics in Junebug, and I gave the color pattern a good try, sadly never caught anything in Junebug. However, blue, with some black, in a jig and or the trailer worked to a decent degree, wasn't the most productive, i.e like pumpkin, ect.

  • Actually "blacken" ain't a Cajun thing, blackened food is burnt & we throw that in the trash.   Funny any way! ?

  • Junebug is my favorite color plastic by a landslide

I also like black/blue jigs. For soft plastics I will take junebug any day over black/ blue.

Blue/Black here but that doesn't mean I don't give any love to June Bug.  I use it as an alternative to PBJ.

June bug for plastics.  Black and Blue for jigs and spinnerbaits.  Please don't ask me why, because I have no clue.

I love junebug. I use it for everything from stick baits, swimbaits, craws/creatures, worms. If they made a junebug chatterbait I would use it. Black and blue has taken a back seat lately, but it's always worked, I just personally like using the purples. I love the Berkley Powerbait General in Grimace. It's an Ike custom color and has green and red flakes on a dark purple worm.

Just buy a bigger tackle box to carry both!

Thats what I did! I have probably 35 bags of plastics I carry now. I have a few things in both B&B and JB but mainly one or the other.

Has anyone ever thrown or even bought a junebug crankbait? What about a junebug spinner bait?
