NCAA Football Bowl Games

That games is why bowl games are great - two teams that don’t really ever play each other that didn’t really play until the 4th quarter. I hate the fake injuries, but it’s strategy just like moving the offense fast. I hope there are rule changes to minimize it without putting truly injured players in jeopardy. I like the idea that injured players are out for that drive or quarter. UT appears to have a good coach in Heupel, can’t wait to see what happens when he’s had a full cycle to bring in his own players.

I thought that was a TD. In the end zone before the whistle, not down. Bug that is way it goes sometimes. Fun game and bright future and a whole new two teams to beat up on! #SoonersLater

What a game!!! A couple take a way's   1. I'm not sure who has gained more weight since 2000, me or Josh Heupel 2. They have got to figure out what to do about the fake injuries

Lot of confidence after going 7-6. OU has won at least 8 games every season in the last 21 seasons.

What do you mean “umpteenth time”.  When did it stop?

Of course! Blind hope springs eternal! ?

The way we lost this year was encouraging. And all of those losses were to teams that spent time in or near the top ten.

it’s all mindless chatter until they play the game

But never in the sec . This years TN team could have won 9 in big 12 (or whatever they call it now)

how many national titles has the big 12 claimed in those 21 years?

im also noticing your stats all begin in 2000……. Championship year coincidence or just an even number?

No team in the SEC has won 8 games every season in the last 21 years.  No teams has even had a winning season ever year in the last 21 years.  The SEC is different.  You’ll see.

Maybe. Sure is a lot of "maybe" "could have" "we'll see" in this thread. Bottomline is OU is a better team, no ifs ands or buts about it.

Hey, at least your 2 and 5 now in bowl games thanks to your Supreme leader Bama. Now Georgia can get another and yall can ride those coat tails.

Nobody denied that , There’s about 50 other teams that can say that for the last decade. Congrats

I believe I was specifically told "I wouldn't bet the farm on it" when I said OU was a better team. I will give it to you guys though, you have a lot of confidence in a mediocre team.

But Alabama has won at least 10 a year since after Nick's first year. Makes sense to root for them. Lol

We have hope for our mediocre team after an even bigger dumpster fire than usual prior to hiring Huepel. OU will have to put up or shut up in the SEC so you can reference the Big 12 all you want, it’s a different conference. Big rivalry with Texas and maybe Oklahoma State but that doesn’t compare with playing Alabama, Georgia, and Florida every single year. Throw in Ole Miss and Kentucky (who we beat) in randomly good years and a loss to a great Pitt team and there’s our 7-6. There’s no feasting on cupcakes here - you better pack a sandwich.

More sacred than politics, religion and Covid…

Dude,  I’m not trying to get in a pi$$ing contest with you.  Oklahoma has a great team and a great tradition and will do well in the SEC.

If you use the Sagarin computer ratings to determine who would win a game,  Tennessee would have won 9 games playing Oklahoma’s schedule and Tennessee does not have a good team.  It’s hard playing great teams like Georgia and Alabama.  It’s also hard to play 5 other good teams even if you’re 10 points favorites.  Alabama has the best team in the country but lost to Texas A&M and was loosing to Auburn until an Auburn player ran out of bounds and stopped the clock giving them time to come back and win.  Playing a SEC schedule takes it’s toll.  That’s all I’m trying to say.

Maybe you haven't read what I have previously said. I don't think OU will win the SEC, not for a while anyway. 2nd or 3rd depending on how they align the conference. The fact that they are better than Tennessee is something that can't be argued though.

How far do you want to go back? They are better than Tennessee no matter how far you go back.

And still winning. Keep losing, it's all yall know. Let me guess, but if you were in the Big 10 you would have beat Michigan but couldn't beat Purdue. Hahaha

Sure weren't. Just better throughout history.

As far as I can tell you are arguing with yourself,  no one has disagreed with you yet on your main point that you’ve made several times

This what happens when the SEC plays the Big 10 in playoff games… The game sucks and we have to argue about SEC teams, even if they’re not in the SEC yet.

the SEC is like parenthood. You think you know and you think you’re ready…and then BOOM - you’re covered in vomit, blood, and possibly poop and trying to figure out what happened

RIP John Madden
