Fingers crossed for a January bass.

I recall vividly last January.   Frustrated and fish less. I even sank a spinning combo into 50 deep water.  It was awful.

I caught my first bass Feb 1 on a Ganatrel. Haha.

this January is a carbon copy. I haven’t lost a rod yet!  Phew!  But the fish score is the biggest goose egg.

headed out again in a few minutes.  Trying to knock the ugly off of me.   I’ll take a dink!  Let’s do this.  Good luck to all of you fishing this January day. Good luck!

I got lucky and had good weather first week of the month, and did well, good thing cause things went down hill after that, and the next couple of weeks aren't looking good. Good luck.

Good luck. Like @Deleted account got mine knocked out on Jan 1 while we still had open water. Picked off several more on the 4th, but we’re locked up with ice now. Waiting to see if we’ll get any shot at open water in Feb.

I got TWO!   1 lb fish but I will take it.   One of them was on a TUBE.  fun.

also brought home two large Crappie for dinner.

I might go back just to target them. They are schooled up tight in deep water. Easy to find.

Perfect knife.  I just gutted them. I’m not a fillet guy.

whole fish here.

I've never caught a bass in January or February.

But I can't recall trying to do so too often either.
