Do any of you tube gurus rig them weedless with a round bend hook?  I prefer round bend hooks and have struggled to effectively rig them weedless.

I use 2.75 inch tubes, so an exposed jig head is pretty much the only option. You might could rig one weedless on a tiny 1/0 and crimp a split shot on the hook shank, but I gave up trying weedless years ago. I fish them like this 99.9% of the time. Catches as well as a ned rig for a fraction of the price . I’ve fished this fairly often for 20 years and they won’t tear up the plastic so no need for elaztech

Check out Oldham's weedless tube jigs. I use this style 99% of the time.

I bought the jig heads to rig the stupid style, I don’t know if they are any good, but thought it was a place to start.

I know some people that really love a stupid tube. I get a kick out of Jacob wheeler giving his camera man heck about breaking off dozens of stupid tubes every trip
