A Rig set up

Featured Replies

I just bought a Dobyns CH806CB rod for big cranks and smaller a rigs. I have a Curado DPV 5.0:1 reel on spooled with 20lb Abrazx. 20 lb is probably too much for cranks but I don't want to go any lighter for a rigs. Any of you using this line for both baits and what line are you going with. Thinking about braid to leader

Thanks

I like braid for big baits, just a confidence thing I guess.

I use 20lb shooter for A rigs when I pretend like I am actually for once in my life going to catch a GIANT on one. Never happens LOL

20lb fluoro or mono is plenty for A-rigs. I use 20lb mono on mine and have landed stripers over 20lbs on it, it'll handle a bass just fine.

Thanks and I am curious if using 20 lb floro how much it will change depth on a 10 xd opposed to 12 or 15 lb since I want to use this outfit for both a rigs and deep cranks

I use straight 40# braid for my A rigs. Lotsa wood where I fish and I like to get them back when I hang up.

Wood and rocks eat Arigs unless I have strong line so I go with 50# on my Arig setups.
