Tell someone you care about them

I don't have Facebook, but my Mom sent me a screenshot of a post where one of my best friends from high school qualified for a Crossfit deal. He went through some real tough times in his life (drug addiction) and finally got clean. I hadn't talked to him in a while so I just sent him a text and told him I was proud of him and so happy to see the man he has become. The response I got brought me to tears. So, think about someone you know who might need a text or message that just says you care about them and are proud of them, you never know.

Lack of love is the greatest problem we face in this world. If everyone could just be kind and love their neighbors.................

Great message.  God loves you and wants us to love one another.  Lots of really smart people say God doesn't exist because they can't find him on a map.  They are looking in the wrong place. ☺️

I've got a buddy...my best friend Brian...who I've known for 15+ years that gives me a hug almost every time we see each other. We've been thru alot of crap together so there is alot of love and respect there. I've noticed as I've aged my friendship numbers have dwindled but the quality of those relationships that are left have improved significantly. Who cares about having 50 friends when you can have 5 that really mean something to you.

That is very true, and certainly as you get older, relationships are made, and they take time, and no one has 50 friends, they just think they do.

Did that just a few days ago. Had an emotional evening I guess, and ended up messaging a friend I've had since I was 21. We're best friends and live close. Told him how much I appreciated him and loved him. He is a great guy. Doesn't lie, will do anything for you. Never judges. He has done the same to me. Pretty sure I wasn't drinking either ;) maybe one beer.

He doesn't fish but I overlook that! We've both gone through enough crap in our lives and I guess we relate well to each other. He's a brother. I have a girl friend that I feel the same way about. We're like family.

My best friend I ever had in this life died on my birthday last year of delta covid.

Among a lot of other things he did for me and others , he was my S. school mens class teacher. Since he passed, I became the teacher. I’m trying to implement the love he showed to me by doing that for the men in the class. I try to reach out during the week to encourage , strengthen them, or just listen. More than half our class are former addicts( like me ), so we need a lot of encouragement.

Great post.
