I got my kid a spinning setup for his birthday and got it from Omnia Fishing. They gave me 10% or 15% off (can’t remember) for my first order and the rod arrived two days later and the reel the day after that.

They don’t have the same selection but I will be using them for some of my future fishing needs for sure.

Also tackledirect and tackle supply depot have been good.

I normally don’t agree with a lot of member programs but Omnia has been solid for me. They run 15% sales monthly through punch fishing on YouTube, and I get cash back on every purchase. Plus they’re still a little guy so I’m happy to support them.

Another gem has been Summerland Outdoors GA. They almost always give you their discounts on Loomis and Megabass without having to call them and do the whole back channel deal.

Fishing tackle to Burger King meth heads. I love the internet.

  • I avoid shopping online at all cost!   We have 2 local tackle shops, a country store with more tackle Academy or Dick's.   If it's rod-n-reels I'll drive 2.5 hours to Baton Rouge B

TackleWarehouse is my go-to. Great selection, service and prices. I have not had delivery issues.

Lots of posts crapping on TW here lately.
I have not had problem with them. Placed an order recently received it within 5 days.
May be a surprise to some but high demand may cause delays no matter how big you are. No one forces anyone to order anywhere. I’d argue that we should be grateful that there is a place, where we can order almost any, mass produced bait, for bass fishing, get free shipping and in most cases receive it within a week. Good luck finding such a large brand, bait and color selection, elsewhere.

Not to mention military and vet discount.

I’m curious to know more about this.  What are the discounts they almost always give you?  Is it a set % and if yes, what is the %?  My understanding from several large G Loomis distributors is G Loomis does not allow the advertisement of discounts.  I can’t confirm but that is what I have been told.  I also don’t think that is what you are saying.  I think what you are saying is they will automatically give you some sort of set discount off the listed price without requesting one.

I didn't sign up for the membership (at least not yet), it was just my first order. I recalled how @TcRoc ordered from them and we weren't even 100% sure if they were legit at the time but he said he had a good experience so I figured I'd give them a try.

TW is literally the only online retailer I have bought stuff from that doesn't ship it shortly after its ordered.  I've been buying tackle for 25 years.  Every other place I have bought stuff from ships it the next day if its in stock.  TW takes up to a week, even if the items are in stock.  I'm not buying the covid/pandemic thing anymore either because it was like that before too.  If its in stock, ship it.  Everyone else does except them.

And their back-ordered items policy is crap. No items on back-order ship until ALL back-order items are in stock.

Every other place I deal with, items ship as they come in - if that means 4-5 shipments, so be it.

I ordered some stuff Monday and it shipped out on Monday ?

It was 2018 all over again! ?

TW was probably clearing the decks for the order surge for the 4th of July sale.

I realize that my experience with them does not represent everyone else's but it seems that there is a significant amount of customers, even just on this forum, that have experienced delays or other issues to the point where they have lost business because of it.  I'm glad your items came on time.  That's how it should always work.

Trust me, I only mentioned it because it was completely out of the ordinary in present day...everything I've ordered over the last year or so has taken a week or more to ship.

Maybe they purposefully ship items late to you for all the grief you give them on BR forums.

Truth be told, I much rather prefer to buy my tackle in person.  I like to pick it up, look at it, and verify that its the correct item.  I've never been much of an online shopper for anything, including fishing tackle.  There's no way I'd ever even consider buying something like a rod or a pair of shoes online.

Nearly all shops will discount Loomis if you call. ALF did this for me, but not all shops apply their discount online to those items. Summerland will allow the 20-30% off code for whatever holiday hit Loomis without asking them first. No one advertises these or they lose the chance to sell the brand.

If there is a 4th sale at Summerland the discount is store wide minus kayaks.

For me paying in person means 10% sales tax. Shopping online at retailers who don’t charge that is a 10% discount off the top. I’ll only buy some small baits and such at shops locally, anything over $30 is bought online.

Good to know.  I have purchased quite a few G Loomis rods (usually the same popular distributor) but always have to ask for the discount.  I can usually get 20% off but I have never got 30% off.  I’ll have to keep an eye on their site around holidays.  Thanks for the tip.
