Rage Bug Size

Featured Replies

Hi All,

For those of you who use these as chatterbait and swim jig trailers, what size for 3/8-1/2 baits is the best fit? Is it the 4” and is there a use for the 3” on these baits?

Thanks….Joe

Grab the 4" and try it normal and chopped down.  You're probably gonna end up buying quite a few when you find what ya like, so it's a worthwhile experiment. ?

Edit:  I chop rage bugs and beavers for jigs in cold water all the time and don't notice any hindrance in performance.

4". I bite off about 1/2" to rig a jig. But I want the entire bait for a T rig. ?

Thanks for the info! Do you remove the side appendages whether rigging on a chatterbait or swim jig so they don’t interfere with the skirt?

But that common sense thing has been known to escape me now and then.
