My frog's gonad is exposed

Featured Replies

My son was using and had a small one on but now a knot? on the frog's right skirt came out.

Is there any way to get it back in?  Should I just use it anyway - my son said the frog kept rolling to the side after that.

Or throw it away?

I will try to attach a picture.

Thanks!

Shove it back in. Hollow body frogs such as the padcrasher can take alot of abuse.

I have glued the body several times due to pike mauling it, i have taken the hook out, put back in, put bb,s in the body for weight, bent the hooks out, in, up.....For a little piece of rubber they are tough

Add some lube just before the knot and pull on the other end of the legs to get the knot worked back into the frog.

Are you saying to lube and pull it's gonads?  Jeez.

More seriously, I agree.  Anything to make it slippery and it will go back in with a little tug.  Like throttle plate says the worst that happens is that it tears in which case you can usually mendit back together.

I do have 1 frog where i havnt repaired the cuts in it because it will take on water which allows it to sink down on the surface a bit which i like at certain times. Also can bomb cast it.

I can't count how many hollow body frogs I've had to toss out because of pike.  Its close to one or two every season for 25 years.  I can repair one slice, but multiple slices from those pike, at some point its just not worth fixing anymore.  They take on water and sink.  A frog that doesn't float anymore is pretty useless to me.

The only positive recently is that I can't get anything (bass OR pike) to hit the frog.  So there's no harm to them.  lol

(Fine print - it's so embarrassing just like Grover at the end of the Monster book I pulled the rubber too hard and the legs came all the way out and I had to go to you tube and tie fishing line on the end and reinsert the legs but I got them in)
